Q: What property taxes do foreigners need to pay in Thailand?

A: The Land and Building Tax is a property tax collected annually, with rates varying based on the purpose of use—agricultural, commercial, industrial, or residential. Owners or possessors of land or buildings (including condominium units), are liable for Land and Building Tax, which is computed based on the officially appraised value of the property

Q: Where do taxes go?

A: Other taxes, on income or purchases, help generate important revenue for government, but property remains the most fundamental way to fund a municipality or stays within the community in which you live.
Property taxes pay for road construction and maintenance, local governments' staff salaries, and municipal public service employees such as firefighters, and the local public works department.

Q: What happen if you do not pay property tax and fine?

A: If you cannot pay taxes and fines, the Revenue Department has the right to seize your assets. They can even seize your assets immediately without waiting for the court judgment.
Don't forget The tax must be paid on or before 30 June 2023.
